Are you a skilled Gas Engine Specialist looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a leading service provider? My client is looking for an experienced gas engine specialist to play a key role in delivering top-tier maintenance and technical support for CAT and MWM gas engines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of gas engines in generator and gas compression applications.
• Supervise and execute major rebuilds and overhauls of gas engines.
• Offer technical advice and mentor engineers on gas engine safety, maintenance, and operation.
• Plan and implement engine installations, including control panels, synchronization, and distribution systems.
• Develop maintenance and rebuild plans in collaboration with customers.
• Prepare quotations for repairs and generate technical reports for breakdown investigations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and site regulations.
• Manage a small team of engineers when required.

Requirements:

Essential:

• Experience servicing gas engines, including CAT 3306 to 3600 series and MWM models.
• Strong knowledge of gas system testing, troubleshooting, and tuning.
• Familiarity with electronic gas controls, ignition systems (EIS and magneto), and power generation systems up to 11kV.
• Strong people management, mentoring, and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on PC skills and ability to generate reports.
• Degree in Engineering or relevant trade certification would be an advantage

Desirable:

• Prior experience in the oil & gas industry.
• MWM certification or similar engine certification

This is a rotational role, 10 weeks on, 3 weeks off with all flights, accommodation and expenses paid.
